Good news! I got a thick envelope yesterday! My art quilt, Branching Out, has been juried into the International Quilt Association Chicago show “Celebrate Spring!”. I’m delighted, as I love this quilt and it’s hopeful attitude. It was selected as one of 38 finalists. I made this quilt as part of my tree series I’m working on right now, and it just happen to fit the theme of the show. I enjoy experiencing themed shows, as it reminds me of design school. When everyone displays their take on a certain idea, or set of parameters, the results are so diverse! So, if you’re attending the show in Chicago, IL from April 11-13, stop by my quilt!
