Collage Mania II
Posted 2/11/08
Virginia Spiegel is doing an awesome fundraiser for Fiber Arts for a Cause (FFAC) to support the American Cancer Society (ACS) called Collage Mania II. If you don’t know of her work, please check out her website and blog. This post includes images of my four collages that have been accepted for the fundraiser. You’ll have a chance to purchase them May 5-6, 2008. Only $80 min. donation per collage on May 5th “Gold Donor Day” or $40 min. donation per collage on May 6th. Don’t worry, I’ll remind you! If you are an artist, then by all means, I encourage you to make one. I meant to make one, and then I made two. And then, I had two lonely pieces of 8″ x 10″ mat board just sitting there staring at me. Seriously, every time I passed them, they stared at me. Yes, I am neurotic, and ended up submitting four collages.
Hopefully, they will bring in at least $160 for the ACS.
I really like to work small! All of these collages are spin offs of ideas explored in previous weekly art experiments.
